UX/UI Agency

Design
that wins
users over

Strong interfaces are not accidental. As a Berlin UX/UI agency we build user-centred experiences: from research and wireframes through UI design to usability testing and accessible implementation for websites, shops and apps.

UX and UI: why you need both

User experience and user interface are two sides of the same coin. Optimising only one loses impact. We explain how they work together and why that matters for your project.

What is UX?

User experience (UX) is the full experience of using a digital product: do users find what they need? Do they understand the flows? Do they reach their goal without frustration?

  • User research and personas
  • Information architecture and navigation
  • Customer journey and conversion paths

What is UI?

User interface (UI) is the visible layer: layout, colours, typography, buttons and visual hierarchy. Good UI makes interactions self-explanatory and strengthens brand perception.

  • Visual interface design
  • Components and design systems
  • Responsive display on all devices

Why UX and UI belong together

Thoughtful UX without clear UI stays invisible. Beautiful UI without good UX frustrates users. Only both disciplines together create digital experiences that work and convince.

  • Structure and design as one
  • Consistent brand interface
  • Fewer correction loops in development

Conversion and commercial impact

Good UX/UI design is not a cost centre but a growth lever. Clear guidance, trust-building interfaces and smooth flows measurably increase conversion and customer satisfaction.

  • Lower bounce rates
  • Higher form and checkout completion
  • Stronger retention through good experience

Accessibility as part of good UX

Inclusive design improves use for everyone: better contrast, clear structure and keyboard support help every user and meet legal requirements for digital accessibility.

  • WCAG-compliant interfaces from the start
  • Screen reader and keyboard-friendly navigation
  • Broader audience, less exclusion

UX research & strategy

Every strong interface starts with understanding users. We analyse audiences, usage contexts and business goals before the first wireframe is drawn.

User analysis & personas:

We identify who uses your digital product, which tasks must be completed and where friction appears. That yields personas, customer journeys and clear requirements.

Information architecture:

We structure content, navigation and page hierarchy so users find what they need quickly. Good IA is the basis for lower bounce rates and higher conversion.

Wireframes & prototyping

Before we place pixels we test structure and flows. Wireframes and clickable prototypes make user journeys tangible and save expensive fixes in development.

Wireframes & user flows:

We sketch page layout, navigation and interactions in low and high fidelity. Everyone involved sees early how the application will work.

Clickable prototypes:

Interactive prototypes simulate real use on desktop and mobile. Ideal for stakeholder sign-off and usability tests before development.

An example of strong brand interface design is the MAYACIEL tequila case study.

UI design & design systems

The interface is your brand's face in the browser. We design surfaces that build trust, structure information clearly and feel consistent on every device.

Visual interface design:

Colours, typography, icons, buttons and layout follow your brand identity and support user guidance. Every element has a purpose, not just a visual effect.

Design systems & components:

We bundle recurring UI elements into design systems. That speeds development, keeps interfaces consistent and makes later extensions easier.

Visual brand work also includes brand development. We shape the full website presence under web design.

Usability & user testing

Good design must work in real use. We test interfaces with users, measure behaviour and optimise for conversion and satisfaction.

Usability tests:

We observe how users complete tasks, where they drop off and what confuses them. Insights flow directly into the next design iteration.

Conversion optimisation:

Clear CTAs, less friction in forms and thoughtful checkout flows measurably increase completed actions. Usability and commercial success go together.

Shop UX with strong conversion focus is shown in the LOTTILI case study.

Accessibility & inclusion

Digital products should work for everyone. We integrate accessibility into UX concept and UI design, not as a late fix.

WCAG and technical accessibility:

Contrast ratios, focus states, semantic HTML, ARIA labels and keyboard use are planned from the start. Surfaces meet common standards such as WCAG 2.2.

Inclusive design:

Accessibility also means clear language, understandable error messages and flexible display on different devices. That improves the experience for all users, not only people with disabilities.

More on WCAG-compliant websites under accessible websites.

Design-to-code implementation

Good design only delivers impact when implemented cleanly. We work closely with development and ensure a precise handoff from design to code.

Design handoff:

Specifications, component libraries and style guides give developers everything they need. Fewer questions, fewer deviations, faster delivery.

Implementation with development:

Our team connects UX/UI design with front end and back end development. User experience stays intact from prototype to live system.

Our UX/UI process

User-centred, iterative and deliverable. From research through to launch we guide your UX/UI project in four clear steps.

Frequently asked questions about our UX/UI agency

Cost depends on scope. UX concepts and wireframes start at around €2,500; full UI/UX projects for websites or shops from around €4,000; complex apps and platforms accordingly more. We work with transparent quotes. Book a free consultation.

A UX/UI sprint with research and wireframes usually takes two to four weeks. Full UI/UX projects for websites or shops take four to eight weeks. Larger platforms or apps can take longer. After requirements analysis you get a realistic timeline with milestones.

A UX/UI agency focuses on user research, information architecture, wireframes, prototyping, usability testing and interface design. A web design agency shapes the full website presence. At IVIS MEDIA we combine both. More on the holistic approach under web design.

UX (user experience) is the overall experience: navigation, flows, information architecture and whether an application fulfils its job. UI (user interface) is the visible layer: layout, colours, typography, buttons and visual hierarchy. Both belong together: good UX needs clear UI, and good UI needs thoughtful UX.

Usability testing shows where users drop off, search or make mistakes before you invest in development. We test prototypes and live interfaces with real user groups, measure conversion paths and iterate from data instead of assumptions. That saves cost and improves launch success.

Accessibility is part of good user experience. We plan contrast, keyboard use, screen reader compatibility and clear structure from the start. Details on WCAG-compliant websites are under accessible websites.
